Work Less - Live Longer

A recent study has shown that if you work until you are 65 you will only live 18 more months, on the average, after retirement. Also, your creativity peaks at age 32.

With that in mind, I guess I am doomed to die young because I am not smart enough to retire.

Table 1 – Actuarial Study of life span vs. age at retirement.

  3. It's all down hill from here Katie. And yes Missy, I think it's time for a good vacation. It's funny how work sometimes leads you to thinking about retirement. It helps keep the stresses of the job a little bit lower. What does a retirement financial adviser think about when their job gets them down?

  4. Wow, good thing I'm already retired. No data for those of us that duck out at 35 eh? Where did you get this info? The accuracy is chilling for most of the people I can think of that have passed both milestones.
